Everyone and their mama is talking about T-Pain’s new animated homage to Freaknik: The Musical and the show will debut just in time when students in Atlanta, where the legendary Spring Break booty shake fest took place in the 90′s, head off to Miami for Spring Break. While T-Pain gets all the credit for the show I thought it’d be great to showcase the animators of the series Titmouse Inc.
The company started by Chris P has serviced clients like McDonalds, MTV, & of course Adult Swim. Bottomline this company makes all types of cartoons, except crappy ones.
“Freaknik” focuses on a group of students hoping to revive the party, which at one point attracted more than 250,000 people, until it was shut down in the late 90’s. The one-hour special took two years to create, and features vocal appearances by Lil Wayne (playing Jesus), Snoop Dogg, Keri Hilson, Kelis, Big Boi, Rick Ross, George Clinton and Bootsy Collins.
