As a child, I always loved stories. My favorite ones were the ones like “The Wizard of Oz” or “Alice In Wonderland”. A child escaping her humdrum town and landing in a magical world of the bizarre and mystifying all while having the absolute time of their lives with some seedy and unique characters. Fadia Kader’s CMYK show hosted by Atlanta based musician, Bosco was just that for me, except I’m not sure if Alice or Dorothy were offered PBRs during the duration of their adventures.
“White Jesus” is a Slumerican presented film that is directed by rapper YelaWolf. Although the video has been out for a few weeks it caught my eye when a friend of mine kept repeating the phrase “White Jesus.” Instead of dismissing it as his typical blasphemous rants, I decided to check it out. The Swinsky film features a cameo from Yelawolf and some crazy acid trippy scenes. Watch it here.
Atlanta based producer/emcee Ethereal just sent me this awesome remix of Nouveau Riche’s “That I Love You.” This is definitely one of my favorite track from the Philly based duo. Makes me get nostalgic and wish they didn’t break up. Guess there is no I in team. The beat is from Ethereal’s upcoming album ABSTRACTICA, due for release this Summer under Yelawolf’s boutique label Slumerican. Listen and download “That I Love You” after the jump.
