Greg Mike took to his blog to announce the recent completion of his latest mural. Known for his collaborations with brands such as Freddy Jones and artists like Donnis, this time the Atlanta based artist and designer collaborated with New Belgium Brewery for a vibrant mural outside their space in the Little Five Points area of Atlanta.

I wrapped up collaboration mural with the folks from NEW BELGIUM BREWERY today in the Little 5 Points district of Atlanta. I have always been a fan of their beverages so it was great when they reached out and wanted to collaborate on a piece in my hometown. – GREG MIKE

Ever the prolific wordsmith, Banksy hit it on the nail, no pun intended, with the above quote. And with that said The Wynwood Walls are Miami’s best weapon. Imagine wall after wall featuring murals by the best in Street Art. Shepard Fairey, FAILE, AIKO, Ron English, Os Gemeos, Space Invader and many more artists have created walls and pieces that people the expansive visual art garden.

The Wynwood Walls is located on NW 2nd Ave in the Design District of Miami. If you’re down for Art Basel, you don’t want to miss this. They’ll be having a pop-up shop all through the weekend.

Every now and then I stumble upon a piece of art that stops me dead in my tracks. That happened during my recent trip to Atlanta. While walking downtown, I came across this piece by an artist who’s still unknown to me. Needless to say, I was dumbfounded. I stopped for at least ten minutes to marvel and take photos at the massive piece. This is what Street Art is about.

Most of the time Malarky can be found putting vibrant colors on the cold gray streets of London. The rest of the time you can find him, cold beer in hand, painting a truck with popping reds, yellows and pinks under the piercing sunshine of Barcelona. No matter where in the world Malarky is, the artist takes it as a challenge to beautify the world with his vibrant style. And wall after wall we can’t help but see the brilliance in his street art. I’ve been telling you guys to pay attention to your surroundings for a while now. It’s not as expensive as those Yeezy’s you’ve been fawning over and it just may save your life. Case in point, I walked past this installation on Nelson Street in the Castleberry Hills Art District in Atlanta almost everyday as I went to work on my mural for this year’s Art, Beats & Lyrics urban art showcase.

The piece struck me instantly. Inspiration comes swiftly these days. As I tirelessly worked on mine a few blocks down, they did the same. Italian artist Mauro Fassino, recently sent us these images of this creative art installation he recently completed in Trento in the Northeast area of Italy. The piece is entitled BIOmorphing, and is the result of the national competition “Science en plein art.”

According to Mauro, his work “describes the integration between humanity and nature, it is made by steel painted with enamel, artificial turf and stickers and it is a three-dimensional work.”

The piece will be on display in the Trento city center through June 12th.

Italian Architect and painter Mauro Fassino sent us these images of his recently completed mural. The massive piece of a pigeon sitting on a ledge he painting into the structure can be found in his hometown of Turin. The piece is the result of an international competition organized by the Foundation ContradaTorino Onlus, a non-profit organization established in 2008 at the initiative of the Municipality of Turin, the Turin University and the Foundation San Paolo Bank. The piece is part of a larger project involving a block in Turin called Spina 3, which is undergoing a strong redevelopment.

According to Mauro, the piece is “a metaphor, in my view, of migration and of some social problems that historically have affected this area.”
