Rihanna surprised the blogosphere with this new colorful video. The visual is for a song called “Who’s That Chick,” which nods to Madonna’s “Who’s That Girl.” The song is cool. But like “Only Girl,” after hearing it once you don’t need to hear it again. These new songs just aren’t as instantaneous as “Umbrella” “Rude Boy” or “SOS.”
Rihanna’s fifth album Loud is set to be released this November. Just in time for the Holiday rush. I’m on the fence with all the music I’ve heard thus far. I liked Rated R. This new album is already feeling like a side step as opposed to a step forward or even backward. Let’s hope Loud won’t be Rihanna’s Circus–a tame commercial success.
