Lyrically Speaking: Port O’Brien – “Pigeonhold”

October 12, 2011 |  by  |  Music

Good music speaks volumes… rather than impose analysis, step back and expose linguistic artistry… why critique that which has achieved perfection at its own masterful conception… listen, look, and linger in fantastic rhythmic reality: lyrically speaking

There’s a party in the basement, but the door outside is locked There’s a line all around the corner, and it goes all around the block And they think they’re acting clever, they think they’re gettin’ wise They’re a Twenty-First Century rendition of 1969: so pigeonholed

So pigeonholed… So pigeonholed So, pigeonhold

Well it’s one thing to act uncertain, it’s another to imitate When they’re closing down the music, and the music it has to wait

And when they have pinned you against the corner, it gets harder to breathe ‘Cause Woodstock was the Devil, and all the people there were Eve: so pigeonholed

So pigeonholed… So pigeonholed So, pigeonhold

Watch This Space: It’s time to face the music, and our lost generation’s place… so pigeonholed, the makeshift imitate, the perpetual stalemate; Apple culture come to fruition from that most poisonous tree… #pigeonholdstill
