Mike Reedy takes the artist’s anatomical study to the next dimension; literally. Exploring from the inside out, he has strung together a collection portraying man at his very core and sculpted an evolution of the overlooked naked state of mind. Dissecting what he identifies to be the admittance of his subject’s being and leaving no room for glorification, Reedy twists the triviality of this traditional art.

His progression shows a constant fascination with the question-ability of what happens behind closed doors, when man is placed in isolation amongst the barest of necessities. More so in Reedy’s recent works does he seem to be convinced of this circumstantial insanity, not only in man but the matter in which he is confined. Here, the paradoxical concept of death living amidst and inside of life is not only alluded to, but illustrated in its prime, almost as if the human race was entranced by its tyranny.
As likely the audience is to now question his sanity, one has to wonder if the depth of Reedy’s study has driven him mad or granted him enlightenment in the fate of mankind.
