January 12, 2012 |  by

I’ve always kept a journal. Sometimes regularly, most times not so much, because of how personal mine gets, I am always taken aback when I come across an artist that is unashamed to share. Mark Powell is an artist originally from Leeds. Now based in London, he creates fully realized portraits with a Biro pen on seemingly anything, envelopes, books, letters. But it’s his choice of inclusion of notes, seemingly an artist at play that are the treat within the treat of his work. Mark is in the details.
