I watched The September Issue again last night. If you don’t know, it’s a documentary centered around American Vogue Editor Anna Wintour. She’s definitely someone I look up to. I gravitated to one quote I didn’t even catch the first few times I watched it. “I don’t find her to be hidden, i just don’t find her to be accessible to people she doesn’t need to be accessible to. She’s busy, and she’s not warm or friendly, she’s doing her business.” It made sense to me. I get a lot flack from loved ones for being too “busy.” But creating is what I do.
I pulled an all nighter to get a lot of the art work and props for Art Nouveau & GreatEclectic’s Fashion Night Out FUNKshion. I created a collage piece on Miss Wintour herself. I call it “#SuperBitch.” I also used the photos from my shoot with Coco & Breezy to create a couple collages on the twin sunglasses designers. My favorite piece is the fashion diorama. I’m toying around with calling it “Metropolis.” We’ll see.
