Last week I got to spend some time in Atlanta, GA and catch up with my wonderful friends/family there and I had an Amaaazing time. I celebrated my sister’s friends birthday, performed at a Lauryn Hill tribute show and I got to see one of my paintings featured in Museum Of Contemporary Art in Georgia (MOCA GA) for an exhibition called Movers & Shakers.
The reason why this exhibition is so special is because it’s something that occurs every two years to highlight artists who are making an impact with their work in the art community. Each artist is chosen and invited to showcase one piece of artwork at the (MOCA GA).The beauty of this is that the artists who are chosen get the opportunity to chose the next set of artists who will showcase their work in the next Movers & Shakers exhibition. I would like to take a moment to shout out Fahamu Pecou for selecting me. The painting that is featured at the MOCA GA is called ” Gun Nation Remix” and it will be available for viewing Jan.2011 – March 19, 2011 go check it out.
