i am chas; a woman of many shoes, ideas, and loaded guns. art is my passion, my mind is my favorite medium. before hiding my face behind a pair of margiela l’cognitos and wearing "all foreign everything," i had art mediums. mediums such as; pencils, paint brushes,chalk,etc. instead of dolls,easy bake ovens, or barbie cars i grew up with canvases,fables, and old jazz vinyls. i had to study vincent van gogh’s introspective paintings before understanding the delicate designs of hubert de givenchy. it was erykah badu’s “mama’s gone” album that helped become clever, before jeezy’s “thug motivation” added to my flame as a hustler. i read the tales and poetry of edgar alan poe before i had any interest in editorial works by paris vogue’s, emanuelle alt. now i am on a mission to save the world and all of his homeboys, one shoe at a time.
