California is a place envied by the rest of the world, known for its diversified population comprising of the young, bronze, and beautiful. Gulf Shores, Alabama-bred Lindsey Mickelson recognized this an obvious attribute, but was drawn to the West coast for different reasons. Behind what only the eye could see, Mickelson found comfort and more importantly an artistic voice amidst the boldness of the California energy.
Set to a fuzzed-out shoegaze background, the video shows Lohan emerging from a pool of water set against an expanse of ocean. She stares into the camera, the apparent symbolism emphasizing her rebirth and victory over those nasty drug and theft problems. Inspired by none other than the late great Picasso himself, her shape shifting, luxurious dresses have landed her a Global Fashion Award for Most Creative Student Collection, and features in high end locations such as Vogue Italia and Vogue UK. .NyTHAN JAMES is a designer who with his trunk series considered everything from the, “weight of the leather to the hardware and structural elements.” His recently released collection of custom-crafted accessories is said to have garnered inquiries from as far as Australia, Italy and the fashion mecca France. The collection which is titled The Bespoke Trunk series consists of the 72-Hour Trunk and the 24-Hour Trunk.

Oscar Olima defines avant garde as, “Pushing the envelope of creativity.” This he learned from his fashion rutted past as he admits a lot of his, “childhood drawings involved women in weird little get ups.” Never could Oscar Olima, designer for his line Olima Atelier and the stars, have foreseen that the weird get ups would be the talk of fashion critics and lovers around the world, and never could he have guessed that the women in his drawings would be translated to pop icons. With a list of clientele including Beyonce, Lady Gaga, Ciara, Robyn, The Scissor Sisters, Marina and the Diamonds, Rachel Bilson, Uffie, and Paz de la Hurta, Oscar Olima is turning heads in the fashion industry. It all started when he was commissioned to make a cape for Lady Gaga for the AMAs, the pop star fell in love with the cape and began wearing it on tour.
