When I was feeling anxious and pondering the true meaning of life, God told me to go outside sit by a tree and enjoy the breeze
I love Illustrated album covers and it seems like this trend has been resurfacing lately check out a couple of covers I really love done by some amazing artists.
I’m about 60 pieces in and I’m still sketching ideas for new ones. What am I working towards? My debut solo show entitled Want To A Sad Boy Smile? Pay Him. It doesn’t open until the end of next March. But there is still more work to be done. Check out the flyer below.
After the recent Little Dragon show in Miami I ran up to lead vocalist Yukumi Nagano to give her some artwork that I created for her and the band. I’ve been a fan of Little Dragon’s music since 2008 and I gotta thank my homie Tino for putting me on to their music. Thanks Allie for getting me the Machine Dreams album. Little Dragon’s music has enhanced my life in so many ways
Thank you guys!
Last week I got to spend some time in Atlanta, GA and catch up with my wonderful friends/family there and I had an Amaaazing time. I celebrated my sister’s friends birthday, performed at a Lauryn Hill tribute show and I got to see one of my paintings featured in Museum Of Contemporary Art in Georgia (MOCA GA) for an exhibition called Movers & Shakers.
Three must be my lucky number. As I look back on the past three plus years of doing this “Art Nouveau“ thing, I can’t help but feel lucky. This issue we look back at the roller coaster these three years have been.
This past week I uploaded a pic on my FB from the photo shoot I did in black-lights and I wanted to share more info and pictures from the shoot. For the past couple months I’ve been collaborating and working with a very unique band which I am now apart of called Telekinetic Walrus and the pride of Ions. We were interviewed for a magazine called Grunge Kat and we are also being featured on the cover. The theme for the shoot was black-light tribal or atleast thats how I describe it. After the shoot was over I was so psyched about the whole thing that I decided to take a couple of pics of my own to share.
Ello, good morning to music. 1/11/11 will go down as the day that music blazed forward by going back to basics, from Jay-Z and Yeezy to little Ms. Britney, the titans have returned – you can hold it against them, but you can’t hold them back: they’re about to go H.A.M. on this mother culture.
I want it more than ever now,
I realized that they ain’t listening,
Like a princess supposed to get it
That’s why I’m dusting off my fitted…
Last year at CES, Polaroid unveiled Lady GaGa as their new creative director – which was all well and good, until the collective question became: “Alright, outside of having a business card – and a Papa Germanotta-approved ‘real job’ – what does she actually do?”
It’s like the world has ended in Atlanta. Ice everywhere. Nothing open. It’s dark. It’s cold. I pray for anyone who didn’t stock up on food. And I pray anyone with food has the courage to not eat it all in the course of 24 hours. #Guilty. Today is day two. The upside is, this no 9-5 stuff has given me a chance to focus on my real hustle, the one that’s quickly becoming more and more demanding. Here’s to choosing sides in 2011. You know what that means. In the extra time I got a chance to upload my brand new website/online store. I have a bevy of interesting projects coming up, you’ll get the updates there first!
Many of you probably dont know but Bjork is a huge inspiration to me even tho I mainly spit flows. I wish to be more expressive like Bjork in my music. She’s one of the most diverse, talented, and interesting artists I’ve ever seen with longevity in the game, plus she does whatever the hell she wants to do with her art. Even though I know she’s been around forever I got put on to her music a couple years ago by my friend Faa and I’m so glad she shared Bjork’s music with me cuz it changed my life.In honor of Bjork I wanted to share this “Freestyle” I recorded over the Innocence beat from her Volta album. Check it out.
