Anthony Lister Sees “The Beauty In Failure”

July 8, 2010 |  by
Anthony Lister apparently sees the beauty in failure–and everything else. The Australian born painter and installation artist included witty literal representations of police, a monster cock, haters alongside his paintings in his upcoming show The Beauty in Failure, which opens, Thursday August 8th at Show & Tell Gallery in Toronto, Canada.

According to the gallery, the show is “a unique look at the reward and punishment systems, and more specifically when the two overlap. The paintings and sculptures in this show demonstrate a tongue in cheek look at contemporary pop culture through Anthony’s signature artistic style.”
Anthony’s fine art has been displayed in galleries across the globe in cities such as New York, London, Los Angeles, Sydney. This is his first show in Toronto. The Beauty of Failrue opens this Friday, July 9th. Click here for more information. Check out a full preview of the impressive work below.
